- A CCTV policy should be in place. The policy should state the purpose of having CCTV on the premises and that you intend to use the data collected solely for the purposes of detecting criminal activity. The footage should be good quality and the police should have access if they ever request it.
- The CCTV must be secure and encrypted.
- Individuals have a right to request a copy of any CCTV footage in which they are identifiable.
