Gaining Valid Consent

You must obtain valid consent before starting treatment, explaining all the relevant options and possible costs to your patients.

In recent years there has been a significant rise in the desire to attribute blame when things go wrong, and to seek legal redress and compensation when this happens.

The key to being able to demonstrate that you have valid consent prior to providing treatment of any kind is to ensure that you make contemporaneous records that are accurate and complete of all discussions with your patients.

The course provides 60 minutes of verifiable CPD.
