Aim:
The aim of this online verifiable CPD course is to:

The objective of this online course is that by the end of the course the learner should:
- Understand the ‘Fire Triangle’ and how fires start
- Be aware of the classes of fires and ignition sources
- Recognise how fires spread – convection, conduction and radiation
- Be familiar with legislation involved in fire safety (Fire Safety Order 2005)
- Know the responsibilities of the ‘Responsible Person’ in the workplace
- Be aware of fire precautions – How to prevent and deal with fires safely
- Know how to carry out a fire risk assessment
- Recognise the importance of a fire emergency evacuation plan
- Be familiar with fire fighting equipment and fire drills
- Know how to react to a fire and understand the different warning systems
- Understand the role and responsibilities of the Fire Warden
- Be aware of the UK fire statistics
- Know the requirements of the CQC regarding fire safety.
