Further lifting of restrictions

Guidance on ending the need for self-isolation following contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 has now been published on the UK government website.

The guidance for England, which comes into effect on 16 August can be read here:

The devolved administrations have also issued similar guidance, albeit with effect from slightly different dates.

Please note there are some additional requirements for those who work in a health or social care setting.

The Office of the Chief Dental Officer (OCDO) has also sent out updated guidance on minor changes to dentistry’s infection prevention and control guidance. Post AGP (high risk AGE) fallow time is no longer required when treating successive members of the same household.
